We are in search of a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of robust experience in Product Development, ideally within the Industrial Machinery sector. This position offers a Direct-Placement opportunity with attractive company benefits and paid time off. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Salary: $100,000 per year
Work Hours: 8 AM to 4 PM
Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree
Key Responsibilities:
Core Job Functions:
- Creation of 3D models and drawings for new products (experience with Autodesk Inventor preferred).
- Proficient understanding and application of GD&T.
- Design of machined and cast components.
- Ability to generate multiple design concepts to fulfill product specifications.
- Project planning for development initiatives, including:
- Resource allocation.
- Budgeting and capital expenditures.
- Timeline management.
- Third-party testing requirements.
- Design and execution of experiments for product validation.
- Fixture design for:
- Assembly processes in production settings.
- Performance validation testing.
- Engineering assessments, including vibration and thermal testing.
- Effective communication of technical information to non-engineering staff, including:
- Assembly instructions for production personnel.
- Process standards documentation.
- Production testing protocols.
- Status updates for management.
- Hands-on experience in testing and evaluating prototypes.
- Strong report writing skills, including:
- Product testing reports.
- Failure analysis documentation.
- Benchmark testing summaries.
- Intermediate proficiency with standard lab and shop tools, such as drill presses, hand tools, arbor presses, torque wrenches, and bearing splitters.
Qualifications:
- Experience Level: Experienced
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Required Skills:
- Professional Engineer certification.
- Expertise in Product Design.
- Research and Development capabilities.
- Knowledge of GD&T.
- Machine Design proficiency.
- Mechanical Design experience.
- Familiarity with casting processes.
- Understanding of rotating equipment.
- Knowledge of magnetics.
