Job Summary

The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for the accurate and timely completion of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll/HR functions. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process invoices and check requests, ensuring accuracy and completeness of supporting documentation.
  • Assign invoice account distributions in accordance with the chart of accounts.
  • Alert management team members to late or missing documents required for payroll or accounts payable.
  • Process and print accounts payable and payroll checks, submitting them to the Finance Director for review and approval.
  • Assist in preparing monthly payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reports.
  • Maintain complete and accurate payroll and accounts payable records.
  • Prepare and distribute year-end W-2 and 1099 forms.
  • Assist the Finance Director in reconciling general and payroll accounts.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees and other customers.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of employee and organization information at all times.
Requirements
  • At least two years of experience in health care data entry, preferably in home health care systems.
  • At least one year of previous health care related payroll and accounts payable experience, preferably in home health care.
  • Able to use IBM-compatible systems and equipment.
  • High school graduate or equivalent, two years of college preferred.
