Hours: PRN/ Per-Diem

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000

Pay: $55.00 per hour

Responsibilities

We seek dedicated professionals who will embody the principles of the Select Medical Way, which emphasizes patient-first care, enhancing the quality of life in the communities we serve, fostering continuous development and innovation, delivering high-quality services, and upholding ethical standards.

In this role, you will work with patients who have intricate needs and challenging diagnoses, allowing you to cultivate specialized skills.

  • Engaging in discharge planning for each patient, which includes placement, patient/family education, and adaptive equipment recommendations.
  • Overseeing Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, as well as mentoring OT and COTA students.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Conducting individualized therapy sessions tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Monitoring patient responses to treatment and adjusting therapy as necessary during sessions.
  • Completing documentation in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications

Successful candidates will demonstrate a deep understanding of patient needs, ensuring that each individual feels informed, understood, and valued. Ideal employees are passionate about delivering superior care and are innovative problem solvers who excel in a dynamic environment.

Minimum requirements include:

  • A valid, current license in the state of practice.
  • BLS certification required upon hire.
  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Eligibility to take or having passed the NBCOT examination for Occupational Therapists.
  • Successful completion of the National Registry Examination.
