Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. As a COTA, you will work closely with our occupational therapists to develop and implement treatment plans that promote independence and quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans
  • Conduct occupational therapy sessions with residents, including exercises and activities to promote independence and mobility
  • Monitor and record resident progress, making recommendations for adjustments to treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident treatment and progress
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an educational program for occupational therapy assistants recognized by the Board of Occupational Therapy Practice
  • Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in the state of Florida
  • Prior experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Member of state and national American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Proficient administrative and public relations skills
  • Thorough knowledge of occupational therapy principles, methods, materials, and equipment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents and healthcare staff
