Under the guidance of the CareComm Operation Manager, the Clinical Transfer Specialist will play a crucial role in assessing the suitability for admission or transfer to Tampa General Hospital based on the patient's medical condition.
This position involves collecting clinical information, prioritizing incoming calls, and coordinating with the relevant specialty services. Once a transfer is accepted, the Clinical Transfer Specialist will act as a patient advocate, ensuring a smooth and prompt admission process.
As the region's sole Level I Trauma/Burn Center and one of the few facilities with a Level III NICU, the Clinical Transfer Specialist must possess the ability to effectively triage and manage transfers for critically ill patients.
- Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing School; valid licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience.
- Experience in Critical Care, Case Management, or Call Center settings is preferred.
