Key Responsibilities- Assist in the completion of patient databases and deliver age-appropriate care.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to prioritize care and participate in the development and prioritization of individualized plans of care.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure effective care and assist with discharge planning needs.
- Document interventions accurately, pertinently, and in a timely manner.
- Administer medication observing the '5 rights' and perform skills and tasks required by unit expectations.
- Provide a safe environment and include patients, caregivers, and disciplines in care councils and health teaching.
- Evaluate the efficacy of medications, treatments, and plans of care.
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
- Successful completion of Nurse Aide course or equivalent.
- Current Certified Nursing Aide from the state of Kentucky.
- BLS certification - American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or American Red Cross (Healthcare Provider) required, must be current.
- One year experience in Nursing/Surgery preferred.
