Our Infrastructure Security Engineering team under the Information Security organization is responsible for building and operating security capabilities to measure and continuously improve the security posture of our global on-premises datacenter infrastructure and public cloud footprint.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer - AI and Cloud Security to join our team. As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing the security posture of one or more platforms, including Tesla's AI platform, on-premises servers, Kubernetes clusters, and public cloud. You will work closely with Platform Engineering / Infrastructure SRE teams to create insights and tools that will help application owners visualize posture, track, and remediate security issues.

Responsibilities
  • Identify threats and implement security controls to improve security posture for one or more platforms, including AI platforms and managed Kubernetes.
  • Develop strategies to prevent, detect, and respond to threats applicable to these platforms.
  • Identify, assess, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities for the above-stated platforms.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including application owners and platform SRE teams, to remediate security issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience and exceptional ability.
Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
  • Working experience in a security team supporting Kubernetes infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, and/or on-premises datacenter infrastructure.
  • Good understanding of Linux security, defense in depth, security standards like STIG, MITRE, NIST.
  • Practical experience in developing software solutions and proficient in at least one programming language, such as Python, Go, or Java.
Compensation and Benefits
  • $140,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
