Diesel Mechanic Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Specialist to join our fleet maintenance team at US Foods, Inc. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with a leading food distributor and contribute to the success of our operations.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of road equipment, including tractors and trailers. They will also ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, maintain accurate documentation of repairs and maintenance logs, and perform road rescue as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and other vehicles.
- Perform preventative maintenance on fleet equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used, as well as complete any necessary paperwork.
- Perform road rescue and transport equipment as needed, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic experience or equivalent certification.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, drivers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple functions simultaneously.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 100 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a variety of weather conditions.
