About the Role:

Fulfill a critical role as a Senior Fleet Maintenance Technician at US Foods, Inc. where you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular maintenance tasks on tractor-trailers, reefers, and other road equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other systems to identify root causes and implement effective repairs.
  • Document all repair work and maintenance activities accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other team members to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices to enhance overall fleet performance.
  • Assist in developing and implementing efficient maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and reduce costs.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a commercial diesel mechanic or reefer technician.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex problems and think critically to resolve issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with colleagues, drivers, and customers.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in a fast-paced environment.
