Job Title: Pediatric Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team at My Kid's Dentist & Orthodontics. As a Pediatric Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinicians in delivering the highest level of dental services.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for oral examination and assist clinicians in providing treatment to teeth, mouth, and gums.
  • Perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties, including sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment.
  • Escort patients to/from the front desk and introduce them to other team members as appropriate.
  • Communicate with the front and back office teams to ensure efficient scheduling and patient flow.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment, adhering to state infection control guidelines.
  • Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory.
  • Record patient charting and clinician notes in the digital patient chart.
  • Support patient care by presenting treatment records, consents, and health history to clinicians prior to treatment.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Work closely with Lead Dental Assistant to ensure adequate clinical supplies are on hand.
  • Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other meetings as required.
Qualifications:
  • Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED), and specified training courses as mandated by state for certification, licensure, or registration.
  • Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: As mandated by applicable state.
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance (or reliable means of alternate transportation).
  • Ability to travel to multiple offices per day, in some cases several times per day.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
