Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and empathetic Medical Assistant to join our pediatric clinic team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a medical setting, preferably in allergy/immunology and pediatrics. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exam rooms are cleaned and stocked, preparing food challenge vehicles, and assisting providers with patient schedules and clinical needs.

Responsibilities
  • Arrive ahead of the first patient each day and ensure exam rooms are prepared
  • Prepare food challenge vehicles and patients for visits
  • Assist providers with patient schedules and clinical needs
  • Maintain a safe food allergy environment and monitor emergency rescue medication
  • Measure food doses and maintain patient records
  • Complete Food Preparation Checklist and back-office skills and performance competencies
Requirements
  • Certified Medical Assistant in the State of California preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years Medical Assistant experience required
  • Experience in Allergy/Immunology and Pediatrics preferred
  • Applicable procedure training (PFT, ENO, etc.) preferred
  • MS Office Suite and EMR experience preferred
  • Customer service experience required
  • Team mentality and positive working attitude
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills

Working Conditions

This role works in a professional office environment and requires the ability to stand for long periods of time. The employee will be required to walk between multiple office locations and occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.
