About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team at ENTRUST Solutions Group. As a key member of our Gas Facility Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading complex projects and providing technical expertise on gas compressors, regulator stations, and meter sizing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead small to large-scale projects, directing the activities of engineering subcontractors and design/drafting personnel.
  • Work closely with client management teams to solicit feedback from field operations and incorporate into upcoming budget plans.
  • Provide technical expertise on gas compression, regulator stations, meter sizing, piping design, and gas odorant equipment.
  • Initiate capital projects, developing scope, schedule, and budget drafts for evaluation and implementation.
  • Conduct risk assessments on critical assets within the natural gas system, identifying areas for improvement and recommending associated investments.
  • Interact independently with clients, estimate proposals, and understand the role of business development in operations goals.
  • Lead Engineering Design Reviews with stakeholders, documenting feedback and individual approvals for active projects.
  • Provide input to Project Managers and leadership on potential process and design improvements.
  • Ensure quality control processes are followed, including documentation and independent reviews.
  • Assist in proposal development, estimating project budgets, and engaging Design Coordinators and other SMEs as appropriate.
  • Assist Project Managers in ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget, and forecasting fee revenue.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Minimum 5+ years of work experience in Natural Gas consulting.
  • Minimum 1+ years of work experience supporting complex gas facility and/or compression station engineering projects in the Natural Gas (Gas Transmission and Midstream) industry.
  • Strong communication and people interface skills to explain operating requirements to non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to actively listen, work with, and troubleshoot needs of Operations personnel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge in engineering principles and concepts relevant to the field, including mechanical, electrical, civil, instrumentation, and controls, and automation.
  • Preferred Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • Knowledge in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, including developing project plans, creating schedules, allocating resources, and monitoring progress.
  • Knowledge of common software programs such as Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, Navisworks.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills to motivate co-workers, provide guidance, resolve conflicts, delegate tasks, and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, including risk assessments, developing contingency plans, and monitoring and managing risks through projects.
  • Ability to ensure that projects meet or exceed quality standards, including independently working with and leading others to produce products/services.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and collaborate with various stakeholders, maintaining positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and coworkers.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and industry trends.

This position pays between $95,000 and $123,000 annually and is an exempt position. Benefits offered include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match, tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident, and hospitalization plans, HSA or FSA medical accounts, and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts.

May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
