Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed scopes of work and collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to prepare Requests for Proposals. Assess and analyze proposals.
- Examine plans and specifications for precision and thoroughness. Provide insights on cost, constructability, and the integrity of materials, methods, and systems. Suggest value engineering alternatives.
- Engage in negotiations with contractors, consultants, vendors, and suppliers to secure comprehensive scopes of work at competitive prices and timelines. Present recommendations for contract awards to senior management and ownership. Review RFIs, submittals, change order requests, and similar documents. Maintain organized project files in both paper and electronic formats.
- Interpret and analyze critical path construction schedules.
- Conduct construction monitoring to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, manufacturer requirements, industry standards, laws, and regulations.
- Participate in and lead Construction Progress Meetings, Design Coordination Meetings, Payment Application Meetings, and other meetings as necessary.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with co-workers, partners, clients, contractors, consultants, municipal officials, and others.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned, including supporting other operational groups and managers for special projects or needs.

- Complete other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience with a general contractor or developer managing new 'Turn Key' construction projects.
- Preferred background in Metal Building Systems.
- Working knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction and renovation of agricultural buildings and storage systems. Familiarity with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards is advantageous.
- Understanding of the practical application of engineering and technology related to the design and construction of bulk fertilizer buildings and storage bins.
- Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and strategies for safeguarding workers, the public, materials, and structures during construction.
- Fluency in English, with comprehensive knowledge of vocabulary, grammar, and composition.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Adept at analyzing and organizing information and presenting it to senior management and ownership.
- Familiarity with design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing coordinated construction documents and related design work (conceptual design, BIM/Revit, etc.). Capable of coordinating the efforts of design teams throughout the design and construction administration processes.
- Knowledge of legal, economic, and accounting principles and practices utilized in construction.
- Ability to manage multiple projects of varying sizes and scopes simultaneously.
- Capacity to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities. Capable of establishing long-term goals and the strategies to achieve them.
- Willingness to travel overnight as required.
Compensation & Benefits:
The estimated salary range for this position is $86,100 - $147,600 annually, based on industry standards. Actual salary and benefits may vary based on location and other factors.
