Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Services Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of surgical operations within our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary scrub person, responsible for managing instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment, ensuring all necessary items are prepared for each surgical procedure.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to plan and confirm the availability of all supplies and equipment prior to surgeries.
- Prepare and organize complex sterile surgical setups, demonstrating attention to detail and precision.
- Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgeon during procedures, ensuring smooth operation.
- Assist in patient care, including positioning, prepping, and facilitating transportation to and from the operating room.
- Handle specimens with care, ensuring proper labeling and organization for laboratory transport.
- Support the surgical team by preparing skin grafts, suctioning, holding retractors, applying skin staples, and cutting sutures.
- Prepare prosthetics and surgical devices as required during procedures.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a certificate or associate degree from an accredited surgical technology program.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a surgical technician role.
- Possession of a valid Surgical Tech License.
Benefits:
- Two weeks of paid vacation after one year of service.
- Accrual of 40 hours of paid time off after 1000 hours worked.
- Additional compensation of $4.57 per hour for benefits.
- Paid federal holidays (11 total).
