Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Director of Nursing to lead our community care team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the recruitment, training, and management of nursing staff, while also acting as a vital link between families, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring adherence to all regulations related to resident care, including medication management and care planning.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and record-keeping as required.
- Implementing safety protocols for both residents and staff.
- Representing Benchmark Senior Living with professionalism and expertise in educational outreach to external groups.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- At least one year of experience in Assisted Living, Home Care, or Hospice environments.
- Familiarity with Dementia care is advantageous.
