Job Summary

TYLin International is seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Inspector to join our team in Connecticut. As a Senior Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction work on our road and highway projects is performed in compliance with contract documents, codes, standards, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspection and Quality Control: Conduct daily inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents and industry standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate and detailed inspection reports in a timely manner.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Materials Testing and Oversight: Conduct materials testing and oversee the testing process to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Contract Administration: Assist with the administration of contracts, including the preparation of contract change orders and ensuring compliance with contract terms.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including those related to safety, environmental, and labor laws.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and a valid NICET certification.
  • Experience: At least 12+ years of experience in construction inspection and project management, with a minimum of 6+ years of experience in a senior-level position.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Software and Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, and experience with construction management software.
