Position: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Location: Leominster, MA

Employment Type: Onsite, Permanent, Full Benefits
Shift: First Shift, $28-$43/hr

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in machinery, ensuring efficient operation.
  • Address PLC-related challenges and implement necessary repairs.
  • Conduct emergency and routine maintenance tasks, including weekend and off-shift work as required.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and controllers.
  • Assist in project installations as directed by the Process Engineer.
  • Analyze electrical malfunctions in equipment, swiftly diagnosing and correcting issues to minimize production downtime.
  • Adhere to company safety protocols and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels for essential spare parts, identifying any gaps.
  • Conduct regular safety walkthroughs and compile detailed facility reports.
  • Engage in all plant safety initiatives and prioritize safety-related repairs as outlined by the safety committee.
  • Provide weekly updates on safety-related repairs to the Process Engineer.
  • Complete mandatory computer-based training on a monthly basis or as assigned.
  • Comply with all established policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Effectively communicate issues and solutions to cross-functional teams.
  • Regularly consult with all functional teams within the facility.
  • Read and interpret instructions, one-line diagrams, ladder logic, and manuals; proficiently use meters, hand tools, and shop equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Valid Massachusetts Journeyman License.
  • High school diploma required; Associate's degree is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with HMI equipment is preferred (training provided).
  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLC is preferred (training provided).
  • Experience in heavy industry with electrical systems and production equipment is essential.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in electrical maintenance is required.
  • Proficiency in preventative maintenance systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work extended hours and lift over 50 lbs as needed.
