About the Opportunity

The University of Cincinnati is seeking a highly qualified Faculty Educator to join our Health Sciences Program in the Department of Rehabilitation, Exercise and Nutrition Sciences. This is a 9-Month per year Educator position with rank commensurate with education and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop courses in the undergraduate Health Sciences program, including anatomy, kinesiology, and exercise prescription for special populations.
  • Contribute to the department's teaching, service, and research missions.
  • Participate in program committee work, including program evaluation and accreditation tasks.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and the department.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to achieve departmental goals.
Requirements
  • Earned non-clinical terminal degree (e.g. PhD, EdD) or Clinical doctorate (e.g. DPT, DAT, OTD).
  • Ability to teach or experience teaching in musculoskeletal anatomy.
  • Demonstration of college level teaching.
  • An equivalent of more than 2 years of relevant full-time work-related experience.
  • Current knowledge and skill in the use of computer technology and educational learning management systems.
  • Evidence of strong organizational skills; strong interpersonal skills including communication, problem solving, counseling, conflict management, and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Interest and ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to assist with a variety of tasks as assigned by Department Chair or Program Director.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working in a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in related Health Sciences field.
  • An equivalent of 4 or more years of relevant full-time work-related experience.
  • Demonstration of 2 years of full-time college level teaching experience.
  • Ability to teach a range of the undergraduate Health Sciences courses.
  • Experience mentoring student research projects.
  • Experience in online teaching instruction.
  • Credentialing through nationally recognized certifications such as ACSM and NSCA.
