Nursing Faculty Position

Nursing faculty at Education Affiliates are responsible for preparing the next generation of nurses. They implement the approved curriculum, teach students to acquire knowledge and practice skills, and participate in the program's evaluation and continuous improvement process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Teach to course or workshop learning objectives.
- Work effectively as part of the overall faculty team.
- Participate in the budget process.
- Participate in ongoing program evaluation activities.
- Provide EA formatted syllabus.
- Provide feedback to students.
- Communicate with the Dean/Director of Nursing.
- Lead discussions and elicit information from students.
- Utilize course materials effectively.
- Provide clinical instruction to students.
- Serve as local contact for assigned and faculty developed clinical sites.
- Implement the Evolve Success Program.
- Provide annual documentation of continuing professional growth.
- Completion of an approved professional nursing education program.
- Experience of at least four years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse.
- A master's degree in nursing from an accredited program required for faculty teaching in associate degree and bachelor of science in nursing programs.
- Bachelor of Science in nursing is the required to teach in practical/vocational nursing programs.
- A current active unencumbered license as a registered nurse in the state in which the program is located or multi-state privilege to practice in state.
- Previous teaching experience preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication and analytical skills.
- Excellent teaching and classroom management skills.
- Functional abilities to carry out classroom, clinical and laboratory teaching responsibilities.
- Competence in clinical skills in areas of teaching.
- Competent in personal computer applications: word processing, spreadsheet, database, and email.
- Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screening, required immunizations, current CPR and HIPAA certifications.
