Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional teacher to join our team and lead one of our Cognitive/Autism Support classrooms. As a teacher at KIPP New Jersey, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students and contribute to our mission of providing a world-class education.

Responsibilities
  • Create and implement lesson plans that align with academic curriculum and meet the needs of our students.
  • Use data to inform instruction and ensure student mastery of academic skills.
  • Work closely with students, families, and colleagues to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Reinforce classroom management techniques and uphold a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Participate in school, departmental, and parent meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to school events, activities, and programs to foster a sense of community and school spirit.
Qualifications
  • A strong belief in the potential of every student.
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Appropriate state teaching certification or in process of being completed.
  • Subject matter expertise and a minimum of two years of teaching experience.
  • A track record of success in the classroom and a collaborative attitude towards teaching and learning.
Benefits

KIPP New Jersey offers a competitive salary range of $63,000-$101,000+ for teacher positions, as well as opportunities for earning up to $5,500 annually in performance-based pay. Additionally, we offer a full comprehensive benefits plan, including health care, retirement, a school laptop, and transportation benefits for TEAMmates commuting into New Jersey from the Philadelphia area.
