Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher-Inclusion to join our team at Uncommon Schools. As a Special Education Teacher-Inclusion, you will work closely with students, families, and staff to provide individualized support and accommodations to ensure students with special needs thrive academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with families and special education teams
  • Modify, differentiate, and teach an inclusive curriculum that emphasizes diversity and promotes academic achievement
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, school leaders, and families to analyze and respond to trends in student work samples and assessments
  • Participate in weekly school-wide meetings to cultivate community, model core values, and encourage student achievement
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Academic expertise in Special Education, the Humanities, Social Sciences, STEM, or related fields of study

  • Demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools and communities
