Our state-of-the-art hospital is fast-paced and high-volume, offering a range of services including high-volume spay/neuter, routine wellness, urgent/emergency care, dental care, and surgery.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Medical Director to lead our medical team and oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will have a strong leadership background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for community and charitable service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in patient care and team development.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to associate veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and assistants.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Hospital Manager to develop and implement new protocols and SOPs.
  • Manage patient flow and ensure efficient, safe, and compassionate care delivery.
  • Lead and direct medical health professionals, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and the community.
Requirements
  • Must be a licensed veterinarian in the state of Ohio and able to receive temporary licensure in North Carolina.
  • At least five years of veterinary experience, including outpatient, inpatient, and surgical practice.
  • History and demonstration of leadership and management of a veterinary team.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain DEA certification and USDA certification for international veterinary health certificates.
Work Environment

The offices and operations of a high-volume veterinary hospital can be high-stress and busy at times. The schedule can vary.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $130,000 - $140,000 annually, a bonus structure, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
