Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective volunteer recruitment strategies to meet the needs of the healthcare team.
  • Screen and interview potential volunteers to ensure they meet the necessary qualifications and requirements.
  • Provide comprehensive training and orientation to new volunteers, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Place volunteers in positions that align with their skills and interests, while meeting the needs of the healthcare team.
  • Recognize and reward volunteers for their contributions and dedication to the healthcare team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to retain volunteers and ensure they remain engaged and motivated.
  • Address any disciplinary issues that may arise, while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer programs and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Minimum three years' experience as a Volunteer Coordinator.
  • Experience with Volgistics, Volunteer Works, or similar database preferred.
  • Certification/Licensure: CVA or CAVS preferred.
