Physical Therapist I, Correctional Facility Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist I to join our team at Avenal State Prison in Kings County, California. As a Physical Therapist I, you will be responsible for administering physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment to patients in a correctional facility.
Key Responsibilities- Administer physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment to patients in a correctional facility.
- Work under the clinical direction of the Chief Medical Executive and the direct administrative supervision of the Chief Support Executive or Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II, Correctional Facility.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the level of care required by each patient.
- Provide education and training to patients and their families on proper exercise techniques and injury prevention.
- Possession of a current/valid license as a Physical Therapist in California.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in a correctional facility or similar setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
