Job Title: Surgical Equipment Technician

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Surgical Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operating room team, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and maintaining equipment and supplies for surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and cleans equipment and supplies for surgical procedures
  • Maintains knowledge of aseptic technique and methods of disposal and clean up of contaminated equipment and supplies
  • Communicates effectively with Patient Care staff, equipment vendors, clinical engineering, and other teams
  • Orders and stocks equipment parts and supplies as needed
  • Assists with troubleshooting and minor repair of equipment
  • Coordinates non-hospital owned trial equipment process and safety inspection
  • Maintains inventory, repair, and maintenance history on all equipment
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum of 1 year of related work experience
