Role Summary

As a Cybersecurity Solutions Architect within AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS), you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the digital transformation of a leading biopharmaceutical organization, contributing to solutions that positively affect patients and their communities.

This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and uphold the organization's security architecture framework to ensure the comprehensive safeguarding of its information assets.
  • Create and maintain a threat library utilizing industry-standard tools to document known threats and their associated risks, informing security architecture decisions and risk evaluations.
  • Conduct threat modeling exercises to pinpoint potential attack vectors and vulnerabilities within the enterprise security architecture, recommending suitable mitigation strategies.
  • Perform security assessments and reviews to identify vulnerabilities and risks across various platforms, systems, and applications, suggesting enhancements and mitigations.
  • Guide the integration of advanced security technologies and practices to strengthen the organization's defense mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders across the enterprise, providing expert guidance on security matters and influencing strategic decisions.
  • Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to continuously refine and enhance the security architecture and practices.
  • Lead initiatives to cultivate a security-aware culture within the organization, educating stakeholders on security best practices and risk avoidance.
  • Work closely with IT, compliance, and business units to ensure that security considerations are seamlessly woven into operational processes and project lifecycles.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate security controls across a diverse and complex infrastructure landscape, including on-premise, cloud, and various X as a Service models.
  • Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats; assist in designing security architecture elements to mitigate threats as they arise.
  • Support the training of junior employees and those outside the Information Security Team as needed.
