Position Overview

Responsibilities of a Civil Engineer:
Facilitates construction initiatives by developing engineering designs and documentation while ensuring compliance with specifications.
Architects construction projects by analyzing project concepts, architectural blueprints, and models.

Formulates engineering designs by gathering and reviewing reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial imagery, and assessments of soil composition, terrain, hydrological features, and relevant topographical and geological data.

Estimates project expenses by calculating labor, materials, and associated costs.
Creates feasibility assessments by evaluating engineering designs, performing environmental impact evaluations, and compiling necessary data.
Generates engineering documentation by producing construction specifications, plans, and timelines.

Ensures compliance with construction specifications and safety regulations by overseeing project advancement, inspecting construction sites, and validating calculations and placements.

Meets project objectives by mentoring and training operators.
Safeguards operations by upholding project and operational policies and procedures.
Delivers engineering insights by addressing inquiries and requests.

Adheres to federal, state, and local legal standards by reviewing existing and upcoming legislation; anticipating future regulations; enforcing compliance; and advising management on necessary actions.

Maintains project databases by developing software programs, inputting data, and performing backups.
Enhances team performance by achieving related outcomes as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

Licensing Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering, architectural engineering, or architecture
PE certification required for engineers
NCARB certification preferred
