Job Summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients with respiratory conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with respiratory conditions, including pulmonary diagnostics, chest radiographs, and hemodynamic values.
  • Operate specialized ventilators in critical and non-critical care venues, and assist physicians with bedside procedures as needed.
  • Provide medication treatments and therapies per physician order and/or patient-driven respiratory protocols.
  • Clean, maintain, and ensure proper functionality of equipment, and troubleshoot issues as necessary.
  • Educate and instruct patients in purpose, technique, self-care, goal of therapy, and disease management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide education on managing patients and facilitate clinical problem-solving.
Requirements
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license issued by the state in which you practice.
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 12 months, or active Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential issued by the NBRC if received prior to January 1, 2019.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
