Position: Skilled Carpenter at Anning-Johnson Company

A Skilled Carpenter is responsible for the construction, installation, and maintenance of various structures and fixtures utilizing materials such as wood, metal, or wallboard. The primary goal is to comply with local building regulations, fulfill production standards, and deliver exceptional quality while exceeding client expectations.

  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, or construction plans for material specifications and structural details
  • Prepare materials and layouts employing both hand and power tools
  • Accurately assemble, cut, shape, and secure materials
  • Install a variety of fixtures including window frames, doors, and hardware
  • Maintain timely production schedules while ensuring quality and safety within the work environment
Key Responsibilities:

Skilled Carpenters must apply shop mathematics, plan work efficiently, select suitable tools, and possess a keen attention to detail. They should be capable of lifting heavy items, climbing ladders, and maintaining good vision.

Physical Demands:

Carpenters should be comfortable working at elevated heights, lifting substantial loads, and engaging in various physical activities such as bending and kneeling.
