Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team at Hilton Garden Inn Seattle North. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our hotel's facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, to ensure they are functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend the life of hotel equipment and systems.
  • Life Safety Systems: Monitor and maintain life safety systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and emergency lighting, to ensure guest and associate safety.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all corporate, franchise, local, state, and national codes and regulations related to hotel operations and maintenance.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train hotel staff on maintenance and repair procedures, and provide guidance and support as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; 5 years of related experience and/or training may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Experience: Hospitality experience preferred; knowledge of basic repair and maintenance skills, including carpentry, grouting, painting, caulking, and blueprint reading.
  • Skills: Highly motivated and able to work independently; strong problem-solving and communication skills.
