Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Representative to join our team at the Architect of the Capitol. As a key member of our Construction Management Branch, you will be responsible for providing construction oversight on multi-million-dollar projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) on assigned construction and consultant contracts.
  • Oversee and monitor new construction, renovations, infrastructure improvements, and building upgrade contracts.
  • Collaborate with project managers, jurisdictions, consultants, and in-house resources to determine risks and make recommendations for mitigation.
  • Recommend improvements in design and efficiencies, reducing changes to the contract and enhancing operations.
  • Monitor projects' financial outlook to identify potential funding shortages or overruns that may affect contract actions.
Requirements
  • Must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower (GS-12) grade level in the Federal service.
  • Experience in repairs, replacement, restoration, and protection of historical stone.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and meet the requirements of the Architect of the Capitol's suitability assessment.
