This role is responsible for ensuring that suppliers deliver quality parts and materials to the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and lead supplier development systems for new supplier evaluation, auditing, assessment, recognition, and continuous improvement roadmaps.
  • Maintain an approved supplier list and quality-based assessment tools for new materials and suppliers.
  • Establish incoming inspection plans and validation plans for change management.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and report quality metrics related to supplier risk, stability, and performance.
  • Ensure sound statistical practices are utilized for confident and effective monitoring, measuring, and actions to control and validate supplier performance.
  • Conduct and support supplier, internal, and customer audits.
  • Exceed stakeholder expectations across departments and support risk management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least three years' experience in a production environment and related quality experience.
  • Valid driver's license required and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
  • Familiarity with GD&T fundamentals, ISO 9001, project management, process audits.
  • Customer support experience helpful.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
  • Good math skills.
  • Mechanical knowledge to include the interpretation of drawings related to the confirmation of parts they are associated with.
  • Ability to perform mechanical, electrical, and in-house inspections using industry standard tools, equipment, and techniques.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

Working Conditions:

  • Typical office environment.
  • 10% travel required.
  • Some work done in a laboratory and on manufacturing floor.
  • Use of standard office equipment such as computer, telephone, fax machine/copier.
  • Use of test and measurement equipment.
