Role Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine Specialist II will play a crucial role in performing various nuclear medicine examinations and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and imaging quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a variety of nuclear medicine tests, such as bone scans, PET scans, SPECT scans, and thyroid uptake assessments.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging devices, ensuring optimal performance and patient safety.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain precise and thorough patient documentation.
  • Engage in quality assurance initiatives and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a nuclear medicine technician.
  • Current on required continuing education units as mandated by licensing authorities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in nuclear medicine procedures, including in vivo and in vitro radiopharmacy, dose calibration, and computer processing.
  • Specialized training in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Possession of California Nuclear Medicine Technician certification (CT NMT).
  • Current AHA CPR certification (CT CPR BLS).
