Job Title: Dairy Production Specialist

Job Summary:

Zoetis is seeking a highly skilled Dairy Production Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and solutions to dairy producers and their consultants. Your primary focus will be on maximizing the value of our veterinary and producer solutions portfolio by building and sustaining relevant partnerships with veterinarians and producer owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose inefficiencies in dairy production processes and develop strategies to improve performance.
  • Work closely with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to build and manage relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Exhibit extensive knowledge of dairy production systems and effectively communicate how our products and services can impact productivity and efficiency.
  • Develop and deliver training and sales presentations to farm labor, farm management, and farm ownership.
  • Stay up-to-date with key industry trends and communicate relevant insights to customers to create value for their business.
  • Collaborate with the account team to conduct regular account profiling and identify customer needs and growth opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in animal science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of related experience in sales, dairy husbandry, dairy milk quality, AI, or general dairy management.
  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight approximately 20% of the time, including some weekends.
  • Language proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters in animal science or equivalent degree.
  • Veterinarian or PhD Nutrition degree.
  • Experience with Dairy Comp, DHI Plus, or PC Dart.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word applications.

Physical Position Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work on dairy farms and with dairy cows from husbandry, milking, and treatment administration/education.
