Job Title: Filler Operator

At Dairy Farmers of America, we are seeking a highly skilled Filler Operator to join our team in Boise, Idaho.

Job Summary:

The Filler Operator is responsible for ensuring the highest quality products by operating the filler machine, following regulatory standards, and maintaining a clean and sterile environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the filler machine to fill various product families, ensuring optimal quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Clean, set up, and monitor equipment on the production line to ensure smooth operation.
  • Complete all required documentation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor weights, seals, caps, and packaging of products to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties to minimize downtime.
  • Collect samples for Quality Assurance testing and ensure proper packaging materials are used.
  • Perform filler and filler line changeovers safely and efficiently.
  • Complete cleaning checklists and prepare equipment for the next run.
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments, management, and employees to ensure efficient production.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and in compliance with SOPs.
  • Analyze process data and equipment performance to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot.
  • Utilize a continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities to improve processes.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 6 months of related experience required.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, push, or pull for virtually the entire shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, including overhead.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
