Technical Support Specialist for Amusement Products

Position Overview:
This role is integral to the operations at Play Mechanix Inc., focusing on delivering exceptional technical support for our amusement machine offerings while also managing warehouse responsibilities to ensure efficient storage and servicing of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all technical functions related to the Play Mechanix product line, including the handling of any game or device under our brand. This encompasses unloading, organizing, setting up, repacking, and shipping of gaming units.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on all test and development machines, both onsite and at various testing venues. A solid understanding of system operations for all Play Mechanix games is essential, along with the ability to troubleshoot electronic systems to the board level.
- Engage with clients and the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure the highest standard of customer service is maintained.
- Manage field test units for all Play Mechanix products, which includes setting up games at locations and servicing them while onsite. Utilize diagnostic and analytical skills to resolve game issues prior to travel. Strong communication skills and organizational abilities are required, along with the necessary tools and parts for repairs.
- Possess a valid driver's license and be open to minimal travel, including occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work as needed.
- Assist with game testing, light moving of equipment, and minor office maintenance tasks such as furniture assembly and hanging pictures.
- Submit a weekly status report to the department head, due each Friday.
- Core working hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Demonstrated understanding of coin-operated amusement machine functionality and assembly.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent customer service capabilities, whether in person, over the phone, or via email.
- Basic electronics knowledge and training is essential.
- Ability to use a multimeter effectively.
- Familiarity with hand tools and their proper usage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred.
