Job Summary:
The Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative is a key member of our customer service team, responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients and stakeholders. This role involves reconciling production reports, collaborating with processing specialists and producers, and processing new business, renewals, and cancellations in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to client inquiries about existing policies via phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Collaborate with processing specialists and producers to process new business and renewal applications, providing quotes to clients.
  • Process renewals, changes, and cancellations in a timely manner, utilizing external websites to enter applications.
  • Update renewal policy information in our agency database and process transactions.
  • Document receipts of payments and follow up on past due payments.
  • Collaborate with producers to reconcile monthly production reports and ensure timely and accurate completion of responsibilities.
  • Maintain prospect and customer account information in our agency database.
  • Run expiration reports on a monthly basis and coordinate renewals with producers.
  • Collaborate with accounting personnel to reconcile and rectify accounts in the area of responsibility.
  • Process bonds, including public officials, FHA, and Notary bonds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum three years of successful customer service experience.
  • Property and Casualty licensure and related product knowledge required; otherwise, this licensure is to be obtained within one year of hire and maintained during employment.
  • Proficiency in personal computers, MS Word, database software, and internet and electronic mail.
  • Proficiency with standard calculators.

  • Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with clients, underwriters, and colleagues to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • High organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under trying conditions.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality relative to information obtained while servicing clients.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional documents, legal documents, and manuals.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients and managers.
  • Ability to effectively present information to clients, colleagues, and managers.
  • Ability to calculate percentages and basic mathematical functions.
  • Ability to collect data, define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret and work with both abstract and concrete variables.
