Key Responsibilities
  • Failure Analysis and Forensic Consulting: Conduct thorough investigations and analyses of mechanical systems, products, and equipment to determine the root cause of failures and provide expert testimony.
  • Technical Consulting: Provide technical guidance and support to clients on a wide range of mechanical engineering-related issues, including building envelope, engineering, and forensic consulting.
  • Site Inspections and Investigations: Conduct site inspections and investigations to gather data and evidence related to mechanical system failures and other technical issues.
  • Report Writing and Testimony: Prepare detailed reports of findings and provide expert testimony in court and other legal proceedings.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher.
  • Experience: 2-10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in failure analysis and forensic consulting.
  • Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.
Skills and Abilities
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and communicate with clients at all levels.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and computer-assisted engineering and design software.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position requires frequent travel to client sites and may involve working in a variety of environments, including construction sites and industrial facilities. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and have clear vision and depth perception.
