Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Coach to join our Girls' Volleyball team at Scarsdale Public Schools. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for the sport, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Assist the Head Coach in organizing and supervising the Girls' Volleyball program, including scheduling, practices, and games.
• Develop and implement coaching strategies to enhance player skills and team performance.
• Provide guidance and support to student-athletes, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.
• Collaborate with the athletic director and other coaches to ensure compliance with school policies and regulations.
• Manage equipment, facilities, and resources, ensuring their proper use and maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with parents, officials, and the media, promoting a positive image of the school and the team.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Valid coaching certification or licensure.
• Proven experience in coaching volleyball, preferably at the high school level.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances.

The Assistant Coach will work primarily during the school day, with occasional evening and weekend commitments. The position requires a strong commitment to the school's mission and values, as well as a willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
