Lead Mitigation Technician

About the Role

As a Lead Mitigation Technician, you will be responsible for leading a crew of technicians who respond to emergency and property damaging situations. You will work closely with customers to assess damage, develop restoration plans, and execute projects to preserve properties while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of technicians in responding to emergency and property damaging situations
  • Assess damage and develop restoration plans for customers
  • Execute projects to preserve properties while ensuring safety and efficiency
  • Recruit and coach technicians in the field and warehouse
  • Survey damage within properties and evaluate and record damage to all items
  • Manage cleaning processes for contents and structural damage
  • Demolish structural damage using hand and power tools
  • Clean up assigned job sites after demolition
  • Perform initial site visits and conduct moisture inspections
  • Set restoration equipment within guidelines
  • Complete notes of assigned jobs in our primary operating system (RMS)
  • Contact customers with ETA and take photos of jobs at start, completion, and throughout the process
  • Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment
  • Unload and reload assigned vehicles with equipment
  • Keep equipment clean and organized in the shop
  • Unload trash in assigned areas
  • Record time and code it to the job assigned
  • Pass IICRC certifications as offered
  • Assist in developing new hires through on-the-job training
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

  • Ability to learn and operate our primary operating systems: RMS, Xactimate, MICA, and additional systems as requested

  • Ability to lead a team of technicians
  • Ability to complete work on multiple jobs within the same time frame
  • Ability to participate in an on-call schedule
  • Ability to work within hazardous environments safely
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle safely

  • Maintain a level of confidentiality
Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Customer Service experience
  • 1+ year experience in a craft, trade, or manual labor position or equivalent schooling
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree
  • One or more years' experience within the restoration industry
Physical Requirement
  • Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 25% of the time within a vehicle
  • Constantly moves about job sites
  • Constantly positions self to move about job sites; stairs, walkways, roofs, crawl spaces
  • Occasionally ascends and descends a ladder to complete jobs
  • Must be able to observe and perceive information on a computer and documents
  • Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone and face-to-face
  • Frequently will lift up to 60lbs
  • Ability to safely operate a company vehicle
