Electrical Field Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Field Service Technician to join our team at Sea America Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge machinery and equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance and repair, with experience working on industrial sites. They will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing S.E.A.'s machinery and retrofits, as well as providing technical support and advice to customers.
Responsibilities- Installation and maintenance of S.E.A. machinery and/or retrofits on-site at customer locations.
- Electrical troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of S.E.A.'s machinery.
- Tracking and reporting machinery performance.
- Recommendation, development, and execution of action plans to optimize the availability and performance of S.E.A.'s machinery.
- Provide technical support and advice for customers.
- Acting as interface between S.E.A. management and customers.
- Expediently escalate issues to supporting resources when necessary.
- Work with project management, customer, and field engineers in isolating and solving problems.
- Answer customer questions and assist customers in a professional manner.
- Perform administrative and coordination duties, including pass-downs, work orders, field service reports, system problem reports, and monthly reports.
- Keep a record of completed repairs and when equipment was last serviced.
- Develop and execute measures to prevent any safety risks.
- Provide appropriate support and assistance to less experienced personnel, as necessary.
- Provide on-call day-time support according to company's on-call schedule, rotating among the technical support team.
- Provide field service support to other S.E.A. client's locations (up to 20%).
- Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed.
- Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate and work as a team with customers, and team members from various other countries (Korea, Malaysia, India, etc).
- Proven ability to perform effectively in a demanding and ever-changing environment.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a multicultural team.
- Understand and use of safe work practices. (Must have OSHA 10 General Industry or complete within a predetermined time frame after hire.)

- Clear and effective English verbal and written communication skills.

- Must be able to read and interpret data, information, and documents.
- Willingness to continue learning and growing in a professional environment.
- Ability to train and mentor engineers and customer employees. (To be considered for upper-level hiring opportunities of this position.)
- Understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience, 5+ years of experience preferred, and/or an Associate's or Bachelors degree, technical college completion, vocational school training, or other relevant education in an applicable field of expertise, or equivalent job experience.
- Experience working on an industrial site is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude is required. Knowledge of robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience using computer applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
- Recommended knowledge of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), and NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Proficient in AC/DC fundamentals and usage of a Multimeter.
- Familiar with Arc Flash and LOTO (lockout tagout) procedures.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing wire systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical prints.
- Knowledgeable about 480VAC 3Phase circuits.
- Experienced with heavy usage of 24VDC circuits.
- Proficient in routing/pulling wires through raceways.
- Familiar with devices and instrumentation in the field and P&ID.
- Able to read electrical schematics and prints.
- Prior knowledge of control voltage (120VAC down to 24VDC) is beneficial; training on SEA-specific prints will be provided.
- Proficient in working with electrical devices such as 3Phase motors, sensors, actuators (valves), and pneumatic systems.

Standard work hours – Monday through Friday, 8-10 hours each day. Additional hours as project requires.
Travel up to 20% of the time, dependent on company needs, and may include international travel for training on S.E.A.'s products and processes.
Employee must be comfortable working in tight, small spaces on a routine basis.
Employee must be comfortable working in a clean room environment, wearing appropriate PPE to maintain clean room standards.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds in weight unaided.
Work is often conducted at a customer site and requires familiarization with customer rules and policies regarding worksite behavior and safety.
Expect to spend more than 50% of the time inside the factory working with S.E.A. equipment.
Position works under the direction of a manager and in close alignment with Field Service Site Lead.
Driver's License and passport or ability to obtain a passport in a timely manner required for this position.
Salary is dependent on experience and location - $60,000-$70,000 annual base salary + benefits and bonus program
