Job Title: Value Stream Team Leader

At Parker Hannifin Corporation Parker Aerospace Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Value Stream Team Leader to join our team. As a Value Stream Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the operation of one or more plant value streams, implementing the Parker Lean system and Win Strategy to ensure a safe work environment, drive quality improvements, and provide premier customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the operation of one or more plant value streams
  • Implement the Parker Lean system and Win Strategy
  • Oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual expectations
  • Meet with Value Stream associates regularly
  • Reflect on problems, solutions, and challenges to create a culture of continuous improvement
  • Lead the plant value stream(s) in daily operations and continuous improvements
  • Assist the Value Stream Manager to create continuous product flow, utilize pull systems, and level the workload
  • Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment
  • Instill and maintain a positive team atmosphere
  • Provide effective cross-training for Value Stream associates and backups
  • Encourage the team to stop and fix problems to get quality right the first time
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years' management or supervisory experience
  • Sufficient background in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, human resource management, and inventory control
  • Demonstrated teamwork and team-building skills
  • Ability to assess and develop individual and team skills and capabilities
  • Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for challenges
  • Serve as a model by promoting safety, new ideas, and positive change
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with LEAN teams or leading LEAN teams is preferred
