Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
  • Identify and repair maintenance issues, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical problems
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed
  • Communicate with colleagues to ensure seamless operation of the facilities department
  • Display basic knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other systems
  • Perform surface preparation, painting, and minor repairs as needed
  • Test and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system to ensure safe maintenance practices
  • Perform repairs on landscaping and external sprinkler systems
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and guests

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting
  • Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus
  • Driver's License required
