This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Assume 24-hour responsibility for all matters related to departmental business and operations. Fill in for the Manager in times of absence, making administrative decisions, holding meetings, and ensuring timekeeping and payroll procedures.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate communication between sending and receiving facilities, utilizing telephone, computer software, and other communication and documentation tools. Document a record of the encounter and utilize clinical expertise, critical thinking, and demonstrated knowledge of unit-specific admission and discharge criteria.
  • Quality Assurance and Team Feedback: Responsible for quality assurance and team member feedback. Assist in mandatory reporting to local administrative leadership and network personnel.
  • Team Development and Support: Assist with the coordination of team meetings, participate in recruitment, onboarding, and separation processes. Represent the Transfer Center on appropriate committees, task forces, and professional organizations.
Requirements
  • Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license
  • BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
