Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Education Programs Manager to join our team at the Guthrie Theater. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and implementing our education programs, including student matinees, theater in focus, and summer camps. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading non-profit organization that is committed to serving the local Twin Cities community and the industry as a whole.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and implement education programs, including student matinees, theater in focus, and summer camps.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with schools, community partners, and teaching artists.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote education programs and events.
  • Work with the artistic and production teams to plan and design educational programming for each season.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and staff for education programs.
  • Provide guidance and support to teaching artists and staff to ensure quality programming.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in educational programming and project management required.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of teaching, curriculum development, and school systems is essential.
  • Experience managing and coordinating multiple organizational priorities.
  • Commitment to fostering and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues, teaching artists, community partners, students, and their families.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and CRM software such as Tessitura.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, reflective of the dynamic schedule of the theater.
