Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of residents and guests utilizing the pool area by conducting regular inspections and implementing preventative measures.
  • Clean and maintain the pool area, including the return of chairs and equipment to their designated locations.
  • Perform water testing and record the results to ensure the pool water meets the required standards.
  • Conduct general pool maintenance, including vacuuming, cleaning of skimmers, and sweeping.
  • Attend pool monitor meetings to stay informed about pool operations and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Experience in an aquatic setting is desirable.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and advanced communication skills are essential.
  • Must present a professional image and be outgoing and able to work with all types of people.
  • Accountable for one's own work, decisions, and safety of oneself and others.

Working Environment

  • Capable of working hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or painting, with corrective lenses if needed.
  • Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice to communicate with people of various levels of education and capabilities.
  • Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying, and moving objects that can weigh up to 45 lbs.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail-oriented, and with good reasoning skills.
  • Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes, and delays.
