About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Associate to support our Chief of Staff, Integrated Strategic Engagement team. As a Summer Associate, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and various partners to drive strategic engagement and communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain project/program schedule, documentation, and progress, providing regular status updates
  • Escalate project issues to leadership for resolution, utilizing effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks and assignments, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to leadership, demonstrating analytical thinking and initiative
  • Conduct research for preparation of reference material, utilizing strong organizational and time management skills
  • Create, update, and maintain foundational documents and executive summaries/briefs, ensuring clear and concise communication
  • Develop and maintain CoS SharePoint content, performing access updates as needed
  • Draft email verbiage to be sent by CoS team to internal and external contacts, adhering to Navy Federal writing style and standards
  • Ensure clear, concise, and effective communication of material shared by CoS Office, utilizing strong verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Project Management, Communications, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or other related field
  • Familiarity with project/program management processes and methodologies
  • Exposure to working and participating in cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects
  • Exposure to working with diverse internal and external contacts
  • Ability to compile, organize, and present information clearly and concisely
  • Familiarity with PCs and Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Effective skills exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions
  • Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
