About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Associate to join our Fraud Data & Reporting team at Navy Federal Credit Union. As a Summer Associate, you will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects and contribute to the development of actionable intelligence that guides our fraud mitigation efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with our Fraud Detection team to develop fraud trend dashboards that identify vulnerabilities and support countermeasure development.
  • Identify key drivers of fraud using complex statistical analysis to forecast fraud losses for annual financial planning.
  • Propose and implement data-driven solutions to Fraud Operations leadership that optimize loss mitigation and workforce productivity.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science, Analytics, or other related field.
  • Experience with SQL and scripting languages (Python, R, etc.).
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure, Databricks) and data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate fraud trends and insights to business stakeholders and leadership.
