About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sprinkler Service Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and repair of sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and respond to service calls from our Service Resource Center, including troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions.
  • Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
  • Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals and documentation to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and operational manuals to ensure accurate and efficient service.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with district staff and customers to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in the Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational manuals.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders and scaffolding.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Able to participate in an on-call rotation schedule and pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
