Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sprinkler Service Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and repair of sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to service calls and diagnose equipment/system malfunctions
  • Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and operational product manuals
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills and communicate effectively with customers and district staff
  • Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and travel up to 75% of the time covering Eastern Montana and Northern Wyoming
  • Able to participate in an on-call rotation schedule and overnight travel may be required
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service and maintain a valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company requirements
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test
  • NICET Level II desired
